What wattage of LED high bay should I specify?

For typical industrial spaces, LED high bay fittings between 100W and 240W cover ceiling heights from 6m to 14m. The exact wattage depends on ceiling height, required lux level (SANS 10114 specifies 300 to 500 lux for most industrial tasks), spacing and reflectance of surrounding surfaces. We supply a photometric design as part of every industrial lighting quote so the specification is verified before you order.

What's the difference between LED high bay and linear LED high bay?

Round LED high bay fittings (often called UFO high-bay) give a circular beam ideal for open floor spaces and large bays. Linear LED high bay luminaires give a wider, rectangular beam distribution which works better for racking aisles, production lines and long, narrow industrial spaces where you want even illumination from end to end. Both are part of our standard industrial LED lights range.

Are your industrial LED lights heavy-duty enough for mining and heavy industry?

Yes. Our heavy-duty LED fittings are specified with reinforced aluminium housings, IP65 weatherproof sealing, IK08 impact ratings, surge-protected drivers (typically 10kV) and operating temperature ratings up to 45°C ambient. They're used in mining headgear, processing plants, smelters and other harsh industrial environments across South Africa.
